
Data Center Project
Every new data center project presents a unique challenge, requiring a blend of engineering precision and strategic foresight. One such project is Russia’s first certified Tier IV data center, entirely designed and built by our team on a turnkey basis. In this case, our company acted as the key partner, delivering a comprehensive suite of engineering solutions that ensure reliability, scalability, and energy efficiency.
Project Scope
On a 1.1-hectare site, a facility of more than 20,800 m² was constructed.
Seven floors, four machine halls, and nearly 3,700 racks form the backbone of the client’s digital infrastructure.
The data center was designed to meet the Tier IV reliability standard, ensuring uninterrupted operation of mission-critical processes and eliminating the risk of downtime.
Power Supply
The project implemented a multi-layered power supply system:
- Main supply: sixteen high-capacity transformers ensure stable power for IT and engineering systems.
- Backup: sixteen diesel generators provide up to 12 hours of autonomous operation at full load.
- UPS systems: four independent circuits supported by Li-ion batteries guarantee seamless switchover with zero downtime.
This approach ensures continuous operation even in case of external failures.
Cooling System
Cooling was designed as a distributed hydraulic system with air-cooled chillers and free-cooling technology. Each machine hall is served by twenty chillers.
Cold air is delivered through cold walls, hot air is extracted via ceiling plenums, and humidity is automatically regulated. Buffer tanks provide up to seven minutes of autonomous cooling, allowing for maintenance without interruption.
